BLUE HILL — Imogen Page, Maine’s speller extraordinaire, failed to qualify for the semifinal round of the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C.
Page, an eighth grader at the Blue Hill Consolidated School, who was representing Maine in the national spelling championship for the second consecutive year. She was eliminated from the competition after its third round, and missed moving into the semifinal round by just three points.
