Manhunt Continues for Sexual Assault Suspect

SORRENTO — Maine State Police detectives met in Sorrento Friday morning to continue the search for a man who allegedly abducted a young woman at gunpoint last Friday and sexually assaulted her in a dark green minivan.

The man is described as being between 5 feet 11 inches and 6 feet tall and having shoulder-length dirty blond hair.

The young woman, who is 19, was walking near Waukeag Avenue and Forest Street when she was accosted, police said.
